[GD FAQ]: "Setup Failed" error on device when provisioning an application

Possible cause:

The device is on a WiFi network which blocks access to the Good NOC

Solution:

Make sure that the network is not blocking the NOC address listed here: Network Operation Center server addresses

or

Try another WiFi network or try using a 3G connection (if applicable)

 

Possible cause:

The Good Proxy service is not installed or running

Solution:

Please install Good Proxy and make sure that it's running

 

Possible cause:

If the Good Proxy service is running, it cannot reach the Good NOC

Solution:

Make sure that the Good Dynamics servers can access the NOC addresses listed here: Network Operation Center server addresses

 

Possible cause:

The user is entering an access key in the Unlock screen instead of the provisioning screen. (The unlock screen has a gray Good background, with "Unlock Key" in the first box of the unlock key)

Solution:

Create an unlock key from Good Control for the particular user. The unlock key can be generated from the user's Devices tab > (particular device) > (particular app) > (unlock icon)
